Biography

Elisabeth Strand, Norway

Elisabeth Strand was born and raised  in Bindal, Norway. She now lives in Trondheim.

Her first photographic project, Lifelines, is a tribute to the Nordland boat and its boat builders, past and present. It resulted in exhibitions, public collections and a book launch in 2017. In the book, Arno Rafael Minkkinen contributed with the essay Like hands lifted in prayer. 

Strand has been mentored by nationally and internationally recognized photographers and artists.

In Strand’s photographs you might find a quiet contemplation over the passing of time.
